I lived in Portsmouth/Southsea until 1980/age 25 and had never realised this was a Naturists haunt before. As kids we used to use this area a lot for fishing and access to the sewage outfalls round the corner (fishing + bait digging). We used to be asked in a friendly way to 'leave' by the Navy (I assume) when they carried out gun practice but it looks just as nice a place now (the beach) as it was then. This place MUST be kept free access and surely low water area cannot be legally blocked! |

| Me and the girlfriends went to Eastney today, for the second time. Despite all teh problems with the beach, there were loads of friendly people there. What made the girlfriend more relaxed was that other couples turned up after a while. She was that relaxed she started to fall asleep. It would also be nice to hear from others now that take their kids there. We have a son of 11 that also enjoys nudism, he went the 1st time with us months ago, But we not seen any other families there. |

| there are few places that any folks can go to and enjoy swiming and sun bathing with out a cozzy. it is a shame that this place is being denied to us all for a simple natural pleasure.they need to get a life. |

Sad to hear many naturists being bullied out of a lovely spot of beach! I have spent a bit of time down Eastney Beach over the last few years, and though usually clothed, I find the atmosphere so much more comfortable! Thinking of making a short blogpost in a moment (Watch www.2e1hsb.com), but I was wondering, has anyone thought of doing a protest? Organise a time/date, cram the beach, and everyone get undressed? (or as much as comfortable with). Nothing violent, just a statement in numbers. |

I'm disappointed the beach has been closed off to the public. I have had many fantastic summer days there and with any luck the owners will come to their senses and reverse their actions. Talk about use a sledgehammer to crack open a nut! If not, I hope Portsmouth City Council will allocate an alternative spot for naturist use. |

| If Qinetiq persist with their stupid decision how about using the area of beach just around the corner from the Fraser site - just by the entrance to the harbour? Its secluded and out of the way, the only problem may be the strong currents in the water! |
