Will there be a Beach Day this year? or an annual meeting?

Perhaps something is needed after Qinetiq's recent decisions.

I think it's unlikely that we will run a beach day this year. As a safeguard against public liability we really need insurance which we can't afford. In previous years it was provided automatically by British Naturism if the event was sanctioned by them and Officers of the organisation were also in attendance. Last year no such attendance could be guaranteed and so we did not go ahead with the event.

As for a public meeting that has yet to be decided. For over a year the campaign has been quiet as very little has happened that would have been worth calling a public meeting for. Obviously, the closure of the beach last week has stirred things up a bit and we are now busy organising responses to that. Depending on how things go over the next couple of weeks or so we may have enough information to make a meeting worthwhile. In the meantime we will keep people up to date on this website.
